Marisol Cid (cdmx)

Marisol Cid Gonzalez studied architecture and has been living in Mexico City where she has been practicing photography for the last eight years. When she arrived in Mexico City in 2015, she received a camera as a gift. She discovered that she could go out into the streets and connect with the city and its characters.

This meant taking ownership of her new city, a formula she constantly repeats in the places she visits and explores through her lens.
She describes her style as melancholic, dramatic, and sometimes with small flashes of surrealism, with grain, sweep, and blur often present. For her, photography is not about clarity; it's about feeling, about feeling free.  She has exhibited in galleries in Tunis, Barcelona, and Mexico City.
